Olive Groves, Tuscany Woodblock Print

‘Olive Groves’ was inspired while on an art residency in Tuscany at La Macina Di San Cresci. The image was drawn onto wood then using hand carving tools the wood is carved away to leave only the raised lines of the drawing. This print is the key block for the coloured prints.

Relief printing ink is then applied to the block using a brayer (hand roller) and then printed onto Fabriano paper.
