Ruapehu Rhythm, Tongariro National Park

The Tongariro National Park is on my doorstep and provides me with endless inspiration while hiking or skiing in the area.

‘Ruapehu Rhythm’ was created using a relief printing technique. The image is drawn onto the wood and then the wood is carved away by hand using traditional carving tools, so the lines of the drawing are raised. Ink is then rolled onto the carved block and then printed.

No digital processes have been used during the creation of this print.
